The Warri Rebirth Initiative has congratulated Nigerian children on Children’s Day and urged them to embrace values that will prepare them to lead the country responsibly.
In a statement signed by Kes Agbosa, Chairman Patrick Origho, Publicity Secretary; and Linus Chima, General Secretary, the group told children to shun cultism, drug abuse, examination malpractice, and the “get-rich-quick” mentality, describing them as vices undermining Nigeria’s future.
“As you celebrate, remember that you are the future leaders of Nigeria. Your choices today will determine the kind of country we become tomorrow,” the statement read.
The Initiative also commended the resilience of Nigerian children and called on federal, state, and local governments to prioritize their welfare by ensuring access to quality healthcare, education, security, and a peaceful environment.
Warri Rebirth Initiative is a non-political group committed to promoting peaceful coexistence and socioeconomic development in Warri and its environs.
