Omo-Agege resigns from APC, says ‘I will not remain a sitting duck in a party’


Former Deputy President of the Senate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, saying he will not remain a sitting duck in a political party.

Senator Omo-Agege in a letter dated May 22 and addressed to the Chairman of APC, Orogun Ward 2 in Ughelli North Local Government Area, said he would pursue his goals of delivering development and effective representation for Delta Central, Delta State, and Nigeria as a whole outside the APC.

According to him, the decision to dump the APC, was after review of recent developments in the party in Delta State and consultations with his associates and supporters.

 

 

While thanking the APC for the opportunity to serve as Deputy President of the 9th Senate, Sen. Omo-Agege, stated: “It is clear my political objectives and those of my constituents are better served outside the APC.”
