The alleged Augustine Gbangbaran

Feelers reaching Fresh Angle International say the four Itsekiri leaders from Ureju Community, including Chairman of Ureju Community Trust, Mr. Eniyan Henry Tonwe and the officials of Elcrest, an NPDC contracting firm that were abducted at about 5pm Tuesday along Benin River on their way to Warri, have been released.

They were reportedly released at about 7pm Friday May 19 in the Koko axis of Benin River by the militants purportedly led by one notorious Augustine Gbangbaran.

It could not be ascertained as at the time of this scoop if the notorious criminal gang received the 36 million naira they initially demanded for, even as it was gathered that the same militant group was allegedly responsible for the death of four marine policemen last week around the Benin River.
