Theft: Crisis rocks DBS as indicted GM refuses to accept suspension
Mr. Tunde Omonode Igramma

A major crisis may be brewing in Delta State Government owned, Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri, as the General Manager, Mr. Tunde Omonode Igramma who was reportedly indicted for alleged theft by a panel set up by the Board of Directors of the station, has purportedly refused to accept and sign the letter of suspension handed down to him.

The five-man panel headed by Mr. Frank Apokwu recommended a transfer of service for Mr. Tunde Omonode Igramma as against dismissal on the ground that he he served for 20 years as civil servant.

He was purportedly found culpable for alleged theft of office equipment such as foams, air conditioners and vital Outside Broadcasting Van items.

An inside source hinted Fresh Angle International Tuesday August 1 that despite the wild jubilation by staffers of the medium on hearing the news of the suspension of Mr. Igramma on Monday July 31, the former pop star has remained adamant and appears determined to hold sway in the medium that has continued to suffer infrastructural decay under his leadership.

The embattled DBS GM was popular in the 80s when he sang hot pop songs like “Saturday Night, is Lovers’ Night”.
