Burutu is best located to be more developed than Lagos, Utomi avers
Prof. Pat Utomi

Delta State All Progressives Congress gubernatorial strong contender and world renowned economist, Prof. Pat. Okedinachi Utomi says Burutu in Delta State “is best located to be made more developed than Lagos”,  due to its strategic location and abandoned Sea Port.

Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report that Prof. Pat Utomi made the declaration Wednesday August 29 while consulting with Delta Ijaw APC executive.

While promising to establish educational advancement for Burutu if given the mandate to become Delta State governor in 2019, Prof. Utomi assured Delta Ijaws of drastic development of the riverine communities that will be commensurate to their contributions to the state and federal governments.

According to the economist cum politician, two years is enough to develop Delta State, adding that what he needs is just a term to do the transformation.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that leader of Ijaws in APC Delta State and former Acting Managing Director of NDDC, Pastor P.Z Aginighan appealed to Prof. Utomi to look into the enormous underdevelopment challenges facing the Ijaws of Delta State, if he becomes governor of the state and assured him of their support.

An APC Chieftain of Ijaw extraction, Chief Julius Akpe commended the Prof. Utomi and described him as a man who has added value to electioneering in Nigeria, just as he expressed dismay over the level of underdevelopment in Delta State.
