The appointment of a scion of the Warri Royal House, and a trailblazing entrepreneur; Princess Oforitsenere Emiko, as member of the Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has elicited reaction from a prominent indigene of Warri Kingdom.

Princess Oforitsenere Emiko, whose achievements as Managing Director of Kian Smith Company, made the company to establish Nigeria’s first gold refinery, was among nine eminent Nigerians appointed as members of the Board of Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC on Tuesday August 12, with Idris Olorunnimbe selected as Board Chairman and Dr. Aminu Waida, having the President’s nod to remain Executive Vice Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Board.

The Sole Representative of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, and Liaison to NNPCL/JV Partners, Prince Collins Oritsetimeyin Edema, while reacting to the appointment, described Princess Emiko as “an embodiment of elegance, a true scion of the Warri Royal House, and a trailblazing entrepreneur.”

Prince Edema, a former two-time President of Itsekiri Graduates Worldwide, stated that Princess Emiko’s sterling achievements as Managing Director of Kian Smith Company, stands as a shining testament to her vision, ingenuity, and the enduring legacy of sound royal upbringing.

He asserted: “We have no doubt that you (Princess Emiko) will bring exceptional value to the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and, in particular, to the Nigerian Communications Commission.

“This assurance, rests firmly on your distinguished record as an outstanding Ambassador of the Warri Kingdom.”
