Fallout of Anti Ereyitomi, Emami protest: Group fights back
Members of The Core Warri Group during the protest

A Coalition of people in the three Warri local government of Warri South, Warri South-West and Warri North under the auspices of The Core Warri Group have accused the hundreds of youths that marched round some streets in Warri today in celebration of a Delta State High Court I judgment, granting bail to the four Ugborodo indigenes remanded in Warri Prison of strategic bid to achieve the All Progressives Congress, APC manifesto.

The group which staged a counter protest in areas such as Ajamimogha, Ekurede -Itsekiri, Odion road, NPA New Port and Ugbuwangue, declared that the pro David Tonwe street walk is “as a result of the enlightenment some supposedly highly placed persons in Warri Federal Constituency of Ugborodo extraction tried to inculcate in the minds of the people”.

The group which comprises of youths, artisans, graduates, market women and students accused Hon. Tonwe and his loyalists of using their actions to condemn the good work of President Goodluck Jonathan for his decision to site the EPZ project at Ogidigben.

According to The Core Warri Group, their decision to stage a counter protest is “to enlighten, educate and put up a position different from that of saboteurs”.
