Okhiria Anita’s first movie, OSEMEN, to hit the market in four months’ time

The first movie to be produced by Okhiria Anita, one of Nollywood’s unsung heroines, will hit the market in the next four months, Fresh Angle International can report.

The movie titled: OSEMEN, meaning ‘MINE’, is being shot at Benin City and Uromi in Edo State, with Okhiria Anita featuring as ‘Omoyemen’.

The cast and crew, reportedly arrived the locations June 10 and on-field production is expected to be rounded-off the first week of July (next month) for post-production to commence, before the blockbuster movie will hit the market.

The Producer, Okhiria Anita, gave a cursory narration of the upcoming movie via telephone interview this morning, Monday June 21, thus: “The movie, OSEMEN means MINE.

It is all about a rich king, who married three women, from different tribes. I was the Esan bride amongst us. The three of us, had female children. Unfortunately, the King had an accident that affected his manhood, so it wasn't functioning anymore unknown to the three of us, who are his wife. After six months, the other two wives said they are pregnant and everyone was happy in the Palace, even the King was also happy.

“They both had male children and I was mocked by them. So after their (the babies) 1st birthday, the king had a surgery that corrected his health. All the while they said they were pregnant, the King stopped sleeping with them. I was the only person he was sleeping with, so I became pregnant and had a son.  That was the day the King exposed the other two wives, with the help of his doctor and kinsmen. He sent them packing with their children. I was rewarded for my faithfulness and proved to the world that I am an Esan woman, who respects her customs and traditions”.

Recall that Okhiria Anita, had told Fresh Angle International in an exclusive chat November 11, 2020 that while her passion for Nollywood remains topmost, she is also into supply of ‘Ekpoma Rice’, sale of Snails and bush meat, marketing of oil perfumes, all-round fashion (including clothing) and catering.
