Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has attributed the deplorable state of roads in the state, especially Warri, Effurun and environs on heavy rains, promising that his administration will embark on massive road rehabilitation of all failed roads as well as completion of all ongoing ones as soon as the rain subsides.

Dr. Uduaghan who declared that most governors in Nigeria get their lowest rating in terms of performance during the rainy season made the assertion during a service Sunday September 7 at the Avenue Baptist Church in Warri.

The governor who identified peace and security as a major challenge which his administration has tackled in the State, cautioned Deltans against erecting structures on drains or dumping refuse on them, so as to avoid flooding.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that Dr. Uduaghan who was a Sunday school teacher at the Avenue Baptist Church, promised to donate a Coaster Bus as well as provide other modern instruments to enhance praise and worship in the Church.

Senior Pastor, Avenue Baptist Church, Dr. S.O. Oke appealed to the governor to assist the Church in its quest to build a permanent site at Eboh Road to accommodate more worshipers.

Fresh Angle can also report that while Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan in-company of some of his aides were worshiping at the Avenue Baptist Church, members of Delta United For Tony Obuh, DUF led by Chief Ayirimi Emami and their gubernatorial aspirant, Mr. Tony Chuks Obuh staged a massive presence at Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor’s Word Of Life Bible Church, Warri in what looked like a fresh move to consolidate their hold in Warri and environs.

Meanwhile, residents of Ubeji and Egbokodo communities in the early hours of Wednesday September 10 protested what they described as the bad state of the only access road to the twin communities. They reportedly stopped vehicular movement for hours, particularly for vehicle owners bidding to exit and enter the twin communities.
