Group dares Michael Diden, commences process for his re-call from DTHA

The last may not have been heard concerning the leadership crisis that recently enveloped the Chevron established Itsekiri Regional Development Committee, IRDC as an Itsekiri group, Movement for the Protection of Iwere Homeland, Development and History, MPIHLDH has commenced process to recall the member representing Warri North Local Government in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Michael Diden AKA Ejele.

This much was disclosed in an 11-point resolution presented Monday March 7 to the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli at his Palace by members of MPIHLDH led by the National President, James Ologhojoba Aderojor Ereku.

In a petition titled, “we stand by all your pronouncements in Warri Kingdom and beyond, anyone who disobeys the directives of the Palace is our common enemy”, members of the Movement For the Protection of Iwere Homeland, Development and History, vowed to confront “head-on any disobedience from anyone or group in Warri Kingdom who go against the pronouncement of the Palace”, promising to “make life uncomfortable for such people and their supporters by mobilizing our members to look for them”.

The letter which copied the Chairman of Itsekiri Leaders of Thought, Warri, The Chairman Olu Advisory Council, Olu Palace Warri and equally signed by National Secretary as well as National Publicity Secretary of MPIHLDH, Daniel Ojoye Arieko and Frank Afini Eyeoyibo respectively, described the level of youth unemployment as very alarming and stated that it should be looked into immediately to help Itsekiri people live a fulfilled life with their families.

According to the group, all labour agreements signed by Hon. Michael Diden, Mode Akoma, Moses Fregene and all those involved in the IRDC leadership controversy with the various multi-nationals and contractors working onshore/offshore on behalf of the Itsekiri Nation should be critically examined by the Warri Monarch, saying the agreements are inhuman and cannot allow any Itsekiri person to do anything meaningful with their salaries.

The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli in a brief address to the youths, promised to do everything possible to move Warri Kingdom forward and detailed one of his Chiefs to accept the petition.
