Zuwoghe emerges Bayelsa State PDP Chairman

The Acting Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Bayelsa State, Hon. Moses Zuwoghe has emerged as the substantive Chairman of the party after the just concluded State Congress and Ebi Sunny Goli becomes the new Deputy Chairman, while Keko Godspower and Gbalipre Turnah  emerge Secretary and Financial Secretary respectively, Our Bayelsa Correspondent reports.

Meanwhile, the PDP led Government in  Bayelsa State has pledged to collaborate with the Federal Government through its security agencies in the sustenance of law and order.

The Governor of the State, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson stated this in Yenagoa, the State Capital during the State Party Congress and called on misguided elements who want to perpetrate evil to have a rethink.

Hon. Dickson said the ongoing Court case challenging the outcome of the election by the defeated All Progressives Congress, APC is a trial to ascertain the credibility of the judiciary which he knows the judiciary will overcome.

Dickson said, “gone are the days when the judiciary was used as a backdoor to gain victory”, adding that PDP did not only win the land scale of Bayelsa State but also won the political atmosphere and warned that he will have no option but to call on the people to revoke against any intimidation in whatever guise.

He said those former executive of the party who were not returned should be steadfast as their turn will come in other capacities for service delivery.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Kombowei Benson gave his profound gratitude to the leaders of the party, noting that PDP is a party where the people decide the emergence of their leader, just as he hinted that the position of Chairmanship zoned to Southern Ijaw Local Government Area shows that the party respects.
