Gabriel Abinu buys forms for 54 JAMB Candidates

A renowned Philanthropist based in Oman Gabriel Abinu has bought JAMB form for 54 Candidates in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The Philanthropist who is prominently known for giving back to humanity said he will continue to empower both the young's and the old in Nigeria.

According to him, giving back to the society has always been is watch words right from Child birth, stressing that, effort of Government should be complimented by well to do individuals in a bid to bring smiles to the society.

He encouraged the students to be more serious and fall in love with their studies, saying that education is the hub of human development. 

He said the gesture will enable the beneficiaries undertake the examination and reduce the burden of WAEC fees on their parents. 

“Most important to me is education. It’s the key that opens every door of success. An educated person will be developing people and eventually a nation. Without education, society can’t move forward, it can’t prosper, it can’t grow.” 

"This is part of my commitment to improve on the standard of education and to reduce the burden of WAEC fees on parents. 

“The importance of education to societal development cannot be overemphasized, hence the need for the gesture"he stated.

On his part, wife to the Philanthropist Mrs Deborah Akogun Gabriel described her husband as a selfless leader who leaves his life for the people.

According to her " This gesture is just for passion for humanity and giving back to the people that made him right from his grassroot. That is the vision behind this gesture. My husband has been doing this for a long time and this one out many he has done for the people of Kogi State and Nigeria in general. Amb. Gabriel Abinu husband has a good passion for his community and there are plans to extend this to other areas in Kogi State".

Speaking against the backdrop of this laudable gesture, the Coordinator of Amb. Gabriel Abinu education outreach Comrade Shaibu Bello disclosed that, his Principal is a grassrotter who have continued to set a template of development for others to follow in the Country.

"My principal has continued to champion the crusade of giving back to the people. He has sponsored  thousands of indigenes and non indigenes in Kogi State through.  With his laudable achievement in the Sport sector, he decided to make more impact on our Youths through education.

" That is why he decided to come up with this Initiative to purchase JAMB form for 54 Candidates from   Adankolo,  Lokongoma, and New Law out axis under Ward A in Lokoja. We are assuring the general public that our Principal will do more to touch the lives of the grassroot people in Kogi State and beyond".

Bello, however, debunked the insinuation that the kind gesture was politically motivated.  "Amb. Gabriel Abinu believes in giving back to the People. Alot of people have attested to the kind gesture of Amb. Gabriel Abinu. There is no hidden agenda behind this. He is doing this because that is the kind of Person he is".

He, however, admonished well to do individuals to always give back to the society. Bello said "We inviting the media here is not to gain publicity but to let the world know that it is important for people who are financially endowed to show love to the people by making a positive impacts that will change their lives for good"

Some of the beneficiaries Obafemi Success Omotayo, Hajarat Mamud and Moses Opeyemi  who spoke to our correspondent lauded Amb. Gabriel Abinu this good gesture, urging other wealthy individuals to emulate his good work in Kogi State. 

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries,  Moses Opeyemi said, “In our contemporary Nigeria, we have three major sectors; politics, commerce and education. Out of these three major sectors, education is the most paramount. We cannot make waves in other two sectors without education”. 

"We sincerely appreciate Amb. Gabriel Abinu for extending the kind gesture to all of us in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State" he added.
