In commemoration of this year's International Girl-Child Day, over 300 Girl-Child were on Friday October 12, reached in Koko by Office of the Vice President of National Association of Itsekiri Students, NAIS, Comrade Jemide Temi.
Comrade Jemide, stated that the Girl Child Programme organised by her office, was a huge success in Koko, headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area, as they were able to educate every Girl Child on passive effect of teenage pregnancy, procrastination and its dent on academic prowess, mental health vulnerability as well as Girl Child & her hygiene.
Our Principal Correspondent, reports that Comrade Jemide, urged the female students to ‘Say No to Bully' & ‘Peer Pressure’ in order to succeed, even as she assured them of more support going forward.
Wife of the Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Mrs. Omasan Ashima, charged the girls on abstinence from actions that stand in conflict with their purpose in life and destiny.

Mrs. Ashima, urged the girls to hearken and put into practices that which they have been taught by the Girl-Child Advocates, during the sensitisation campaign.
The Programme in Koko according to Comrade Jemide Temi, was proudly sponsored by the Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. Festus Ashima.
A graduate of Nursing, Comrade Jemine Agbeyegbe, also admonished the students about their personal hygiene, while Comrade Miss Moyo Diden, charged the girl-child on better behaviour at all times
NAIS President, Comrade Ogedegbe, OMO Foundation, Councillor Representing Koko Ward in Warri North Legislative Arm, Comrade Rachael Edeh, Comrade Famous Uwagbajumi and others, were present at the event.
