Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Warri South Local Government Area, Omamuli Rewane, has applauded Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s call for unity amongst Itsekiris, saying it’s a demonstration of true leadership.
Rewane, who spoke to Fresh Angle International, shortly after Senator Tinubu departed Warri, Thursday February 26, after her visit to Palace of the Olu of Warri, said it is vitally important for all Itsekiris to put aside their personal interests and work in unity for the development of Warri kingdom.
She congratulated Mrs. Tinubu on the chieftaincy title conferred on her by The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III and pleaded with her to use her position to attract more development to Itsekiri Nation in particular and Warri kingdom as a whole.
Whilst promising the First Lady that she will work with other party leaders to ensure landslide victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and other APC candidates in the 2027 polls, Omamuli Rewane, noted: “Your Excellency, we have seen and acknowledge your gestures to the downtrodden in the country. The reception accorded you right from the airstrip at Osubi, to the Olu Palace, Warri, attests to how much we appreciate you ma.”
