Authorities of Warri South Local Government Council, have announced the commencement of revenue collection for the year 2026.
Secretary to Warri South Local Government, Mr. Emmanuel Nunu, in a statement Wednesday April 8, noted that the decision to announce commencement of revenue collection, was taken after reconstitution of revenue committees for the year 2026.
The Warri South Local Government Scribe, explained that the Council undertook rigorous scrutiny of applicants, before giving approval to agents that would drive the revenue generation and collection processes.
He urged residents and business owners in Warri South Local Government Area, to cooperate with the authorized revenue agents, saying all inquiries or clarifications should be directed to the head of revenue unit, Warri South Local Government Council.
Whilst assuring that the Council has set up machinery in place to avoid multiple collection of levies, Mr. Nunu, stated that efforts were ongoing to ensure compliance with the payment schedule.
