FNDCN insists on sack of Dokubo over high handedness
Prof Charles Dokubo

Members of the Federated Niger Delta Communities of Nigeria, FNDCN have insisted on the sack of the current Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Niger Delta Affairs and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Prof Charles Dokubo, over what they described as his “high handedness and lack of vision for the programme”.

The Director of Contacts and Mobilisation of FNDCN, Tarifa Jonathan, in a statement made available to Fresh Angle International, Tuesday June 18, stressed, “the recent distribution of laptops is enough case to buttress our position. Laptops were taken to schools without modalities for collection, only to be acknowledged that the laptops have been fully given to the delegates, whereas that is not the case in reality”.

According to Jonathan, majority of the Niger Delta Ex-agitators captured in the first, second and third phases, have not been deployed for their training till date, adding, “several correspondences to the office on non-payment of either bush allowances and in-training  allowances, especially to ex- agitators in Novena University have fell on deaf ears”.

The statement added, “we also wish to hail the President Muhammadu Buhari, National Leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the National Assembly members for deeming it fit to elect Distinguished Senator Ovie- Omo Agege as the Deputy Senate President of the 9th National Assembly. There is no doubt, his wealth of experience will be brought to bear for the development of our country. We also want to call for equity and fairness in the appointment of persons into offices, because Delta South Senatorial district, haven given the President the highest votes in last general elections in the state, deserve to be compensated for more in the future. An Itsekiri man should be considered for Minister or Chairman and MD of NDDC”.
