A Christian cleric and associate parish priest of Annunciation Catholic Church, Ogunu, Warri, Rev. Fr. Bernard Ofoegbu has admonished Christians to come out of pride or remain in trouble.
According to Rev. Fr. Ofoegbu, pride is the show of power leading to people killing one another. The cleric made reference to current happenings in Syria, the recent Ijaw and Itsekiri violence and even the Pharisees for claiming to know the laws more than anyone else as elements caused by pride.
Rev. Fr. Ofoegbu narrated how the Pharisees with the spirit of pride regarded poor people and prostitutes as sinners while they regarded themselves as most righteous people.
The associate parish priest gave the admonition when Mr. and Mrs. Odafe Tobore Amiteyekpa dedicated their second baby boy, Tejire Amiteyekpa at the Annunciation Catholic Church, Ogunu, Warri.
Parents of the newly dedicated baby, Mr. and Mrs. Odafe Amiteyekpa used the medium to thank God for his mercies on their family as well as safe delivery of the baby.
Guests were later treated to a lavish reception at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Amiteyekpa in Ekurede- Urhobo, Warri.
