Did You Know that the River Ethiope originates from the base of a giant silk cotton tree?
The River Ethiope is located in a village known as Umuaja in Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State; it flows across four local government areas, namely: Ukwuani, Ethiope East, Okpe and Sapele. The river is also believed to be the deepest Inland Waterway in Africa.
The natural flow of water from the foot of the silk-cotton tree, has made River Ethiope at Umuaja home to various tourists.
