Over one hundred women from Ugbomro, host community to Federal University of Petroleum Resources, FUPRE in Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State on Monday August 24 shut the entrance to FUPRE with a casket and concoction, shouting songs of marginalization by authorities of the Institution in connivance with the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, Fresh Angle International can authoritatively report.
The women who carried leaves and placards with various incriptions on day-three of their protest are miffed by the sudden twist of Vice Chancellor of FUPRE, Prof. Akaehomen Okonigbon Akii Ibhadode after he promised to address their grievances last week, only for him to make a U-turn after allegedly reaching out to the Uvwie Monarch.
The Ugbomro women who brought canopy in front of the school gate have vowed to remain there until their grevances are addresed by authories of the school.
Our Correspondent reports that soldiers guiding the school stood at the gate as the women went on with their protest, even as unconfirmed report says the Area Commander of the Nigerian Police in Warri has threatened leaders of the community with arrest should the protest continue.

The grievances of the community include resistatement of two of their indigenes whose appointments were wrongly terminated, signing of MoU between the Institution and the Community as well as the provision of basic infastructures such as internal roads for the community.
