It is difficult to ignore Okowa by Danphildel Akpenyi, a public affairs analyst

It is difficult to ascribe any force or negatism to a man with soft and gentle domain.

It is difficult not to take cognizance of a track record of consistent inauguration and implementation of empowerment politics.

It is difficult to ignore a philanthropic colorization of a man whose ripples of economic salvation packages have resurrected dead hopes.

It is difficult to find in one man a strange combination of unusual characterization of celebrated humility and uncommon intelligence, streak of fearlessness with angelic meekness, administrative ingenuity with lots of human face. It is difficult not to notice a man who has over the years in the various corridors of political powers functioned tirelessly as a father and mother simultaneously to orphans of the harsh economic situation of our times.

It is difficult not to admire a man, whom God has so lifted so high to the pinnacle of a political career and has continued not only to identify with the down trodden, he has also made concerted efforts to ameliorate their lots.

It is difficult not to admire a man whose sole dream and ultimate goal in life is putting smiles on the faces of the people.

It is difficult not to admire a man who gives all of himself for the good of the people.

It is difficult not to fancy and pour en coming on a man whose subordinates are rumoured to be far richer than him and yet wonderfully and unquestionably loyal to him, almost to the point of fanatism.

It is difficult not to commend a man carved out by political providence cut sheer personal hard work to live in mansion but rather chose to live in a simple bungalow and in the hearts of the voiceless and down trodden, ministering to their economic, and social needs.

It is difficult to dislike a man, who when he uses his right hand to give gifts, his left hand is ignorant of it.

It is difficult not to admire a man whose philanthropism is not propelled by political ambition but by innate humane disposition that has become legendary. His generosity in Igbanke,  in Orhionmwon local government area, in present Edo State, over two and half decades ago had no political colorization.

It is difficult not to acknowledge and commend a man for being the harbinger, popularised and crowned apostle of empowerment.

It is difficult not to admire a man who combines in himself, the characteristics of a lion and a lamb at the same time. As a lion, in pursuit of the good things of life for his people.

As a lamb in relating with his people. He is in all ramifications, and from every perspective position, a political locomotive and a political PLC.

It is almost impossible to know Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, his person, his antecedents and not admire him and agree whole heartedly to his demands.

Now, he has expressed his political quest and intent to occupy the Government House at Asaba for the next four years.

Given his pedigree, does he have enough mental muscle, administrative know - how and most importantly, the humane meekness to take Deltans and Delta State to the elusive next level of political, social and economic Eldorado? For me, I think the resounding answer is yes he can.
