Customers under Benin Electricity Distribution Company, BEDC in Warri and environs, have demanded the creation of more sales outlet for the purchase of Credit Tokens (Prepaid Meter Recharge Cards) in order to save them from the untold hardship of queuing for endless hours before purchasing the token, Fresh Angle International checks reveal.

The customers made the demand in an exclusive chat with Our Correspondent on Friday, October 2 at the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, Warri, New Port premises at the Fidelity Bank BEDC outlet and United Bank of Africa, UBA Stand.

The customers while lamenting the long hours they spent on queue, from morning till late in the afternoon on daily basis thus causing loss of man hours, called on the power distribution firm to consider employing more staff to man the existing sales outlet and the possible new ones that need to be created.

According to a customer at the Nigerian Ports Authority UBA BEDC outlet, who identified himself simply as Solomon, he joined the queue 8.30am and was given the tally number 165, but had to wait till about 2:00pm same day before he managed to purchase a credit token.

Another customer, Mr. Stanley Ehikwe advised BEDC to decentralize the system by creating more sales outlets aside the use of banks.

Speaking in the same vein, another BEDC customer, Mr. Eromosele Eseraigbo, admonished the power distribution firm to introduce online subscription with a view to decongesting the sales outlets.

According to one Miss Ebi John, some persons who claim to be officials of Fidelity Bank were selling tally numbers to those just arriving at N500 in order for them to jump the queue.
