The Divisional Police Officer, Abraka Division, CSP Ogbonna Okoronkwo has assured that the police is poised to rid Abraka and its environs of criminals, warning that those who are involved in any form of crime or the other should desist forthwith or face the wrath of the law.
Our Delta Central Correspondent reports that the police boss stated this in interactive session with members of the public at Abraka in Ethiope East Local Government Area, Delta State.
CSP Ogbonna who used the opportunity to honour some serving Officers of the force, including: DSP Larry M Legi, Asp Musa Cabiru and Inspector Godwin Okoro for their efforts in fighting crime in the area, said the police will not rest on it oars until the area is cleared of criminals.
While noting that the police needs some equipment to enable it successfully fight crime and criminality, he sought the cooperation of members of the public, especially in terms of gathering intelligence, noting that it is very important for effective policing.
In a remark, The Member Representing Ethiope East Local Government Area in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Evans Ewurie, thanked the Divisional Police Officer and the entire Police Officers in Abraka for their dogged efforts towards fighting crime in the area and promised to assist the police to enable them succeed in carrying out their assignment.
