Release of 21 Chibok school girls in captivity, a renewed hope in Democracy- IPAC
IPAC & PPA Chairman, Delta State, Fred Obi

The Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC has said it received with joy the release of 21 of the young ladies of Chibok adopted by the dreaded Boko Haram, describing it as a confirmation of a serious minded and focused government, determined to secure a better future for Nigerians.

The IPAC Chairman in Delta State, Mr. Fred Obi who spoke to Journalists in Asaba, the State capital said, “When the news of the kidnap of over 200 girls from their school where they have gone to acquire knowledge in Chibok Community of Bourno State, the world was in complete anger followed by outright condemnation of the act by the blood testy and wicked Islamic group, Boko Haram.”

According to Obi who is also the Chairman of the Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA “Today we receive with joy the release of 21 of the young ladies. I want to first of all thank Jehovah the Almighty God and His beloved Son Jesus Christ, before thanking President Mohammadu Buhari and his team of Security Personnel as well as other well meaning Nigerians that have in one way or the other contributed to this achievement. The achievement has indeed renewed the hope of Nigerians in their firm belief in democracy, that with focused leaders in place, Nigeria will in no distance time be moved from a third world Nation and be rightly placed among the committee of Nations, and that there are political solutions to every issues bedeviling us as a people.”

The PPA Chieftain said while every effort should be made to properly rehabilitate these 21 Girls that have regained their freedom, government should also do everything humanly possible to see that the remaining girls regains freedom so they too can be united with their families and loved ones.

He stressed that one of the primary responsibilities of government is to protect lives and properties, hence government at all levels must use this achievement to focus more on the security of the citizens of this Great Nation. “It is also another opportunity for me once again to appeal to the militants to please give peace a chance and embrace dialogue with the government.

The government should on their part be seen to be open to genuine negotiation putting into consideration the consequences of their actions to the region. Political solution is always the best option to resolving contending issues in a democratic dispensation, this is why the government should immediately withdraw the military from the region and still keep open the options of dialogue.”Obi added.
