Prof. Opara explores partnership in areas of training, staff exchange between DU, ASCON

The Vice Chancellor of Dominican University, Ibadan, DU in Oyo State, Prof. Jacinta Opara, has engaged the Director-General of Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, ASCON, Topo-Badagry, Lagos, Dr. (Mrs.) Funke Femi Adepoju, on the possibility of partnership between DU and ASCON.

Fresh Angle International, understands that the partnership aimed at enhancing academic and institutional development, would include areas such as training, seminars and exchange of staff between the two institutions.

The DU delegation, expressed interest in ASCON’s expertise, particularly in data management and the shared use of human and physical resources.

Key areas of collaboration, discussed include; guest lectures and participation in seminars, student internship opportunities in ASCON, support for research projects, joint conferences to reduce cost, faculty exchange and training seminars, public education and awareness initiatives as well as collaborative writing and publications.

The move by the Vice Chancellor of Dominican University, Ibadan, Prof. Opara, was part of the outcome of her working visit to the DG of ASCON, Wednesday February 25, even as she and her team, were conducted round the facilities of ASCON.

This Pioneer Niger Delta Newspaper, understands that during the engagement, the Director-General of ASCON, Dr. Adepoju, reportedly reaffirmed ASCON’s strong commitment to meaningful partnerships that advance education and public sector capacity.
