The Trade Union Congress, (TUC) has appealed to the Kogi State Government to pay wage award to workers in a bid to reduce the economic hardship in the State.
Our Kogi State Correspondent, reports that the Kogi State TUC Chairman Comrade Ahmed Tijani made the appeal in a statement on Friday while felicitating with Christians in this year easter celebration.
Comrade Tijani, who also felicitates with Muslims Umah on this year Ramadan fast stressed the need for the Kogi State Government to aside the sharing of rice palliatives to also consider the payment of wage award to civil servants, adding that, they are at the receiving end of the economic challenges.
While assuring workers commitment to the success of the present administration, he however, appealed to them to keep hope alive as the Organized Labour will continues its engagement with the Government for a better deal.
He re-emphasized the need for prayers for Government at all levels in view of precarious economic challenges bedevilling the nation today.
The Kogi State TUC Chairman, however, called on both Muslims and Christians faithful to imbibe the lessons learnt from this period.
