For the second time in one week, the former Chairman of the Staff Verification and Screening Committee in Kogi State, Alhaji Yakubu Okala failed to honour the invitation of the State Legislature to submit the screening report during Wednesday January 25 plenary, Fresh Angle International has gathered.
The House had ordered the Clerk to re-write another letter intimating him (Okala) of the resolution of the Hallow Chamber, little did they know that their August visitor will not oblige their request.
Not satisfied with the development, the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Umar Imam after acknowledging the observations raised by Sunday Shigaba (PDP) Bassa , informed the members of a letter sent to the House by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Legislative and Assembly Matter, Barr. Haruna Yusuf.
In the letter, the Special Assistant had said he received the subject matter Wednesday January 25 at about 8:50am, expressing regret that he was unable to deliver the letter to the recipient who is not available.
He appealed on his behalf to reschedule the former chairman for another legislative date to enable him deliver the letter to him.
In his reaction, Barr. Oluwatoyin Lawal (PDP) Mopa Muro expressed worries that the present administration in recent time has failed to adopt the resolution taken by Honourable members during plenary.
