Okorodudu Commends AAU Alumni’s Support For Oborevwori

The Executive Director of Projects, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, (DESOPADEC), Dr Ebenezer Okorodudu has commended the Ambrose Ali University Alumni Association (AAUAA), Warri Chapter, for their unwavering support to the Governor of Delta State, the Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.

 

Our Senior Roving Correspondent, reports that Dr Okorodudu gave the commendation today when the executives of the Ambrose Ali University Alumni Association, Warri Chapter, led by the Chairman, Mr John Bello visited to present an award to him in the commission’s headquarters, Warri.

 

He expressed gratitude to the association for the award and the support extended to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori both before and after the elections. He said that the governor holds the association in high regard due to their significant contributions to his educational growth.

 

The EDP described the Governor as an intelligent and meticulous leader, who strongly believes in human capital development.

 

“He is the only Speaker of the State House of Assembly who left over N300m in the account after his tenure”, he explained.

 

He commended the university’s role in producing graduates who have contributed significantly to the development of Nigeria.

 

“Ambrose Ali University is the first state University established in Nigeria that paved the way for the establishment of private universities”

 

He stated that the association should count on his support in improving the standard of the university, urging the alumni to continue to collaborate and support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.

The executive director assured them that their requests would be looked into in due time.

 

Earlier, the Chairman of Ambrose Ali University Alumni Association, Warri Chapter, Mr John Bello congratulated Chief Okorodudu on his appointment as the Executive Director of Project, saying “Your appointment didn’t come as a surprise because we know you are hardworking.

 

“You have distinguished yourself in various positions you have been appointed. I know you will do well as the executive director of project DESOPACEC”, he said.

 

He appealed to Chief Okorodudu to use his position to empower members of the Alumni so they can be useful to society.

 

The high point of the visit was a presentation of an award to the Executive Director by the alumni association
