Model Technical College, Omadino: Acquisition of industry-relevant skills, prospect of self reliance, excite Oborevwori’s Aide

Executive Assistant, Political to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Comr. Jolomi Ikpere, says he is excited with the prospect that students of Modern Technical College, Omadino in Warri South Local Government Area, would acquire practical and industry-relevant skills, vital for national productivity and economic development goals.

Fresh Angle International, can report that Comr. Ikpere, who expressed the optimism Monday February 2, shortly after Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, commissioned the ultramodern technical college at Omadino, stated that apart from fostering self-reliance and enhance employability, graduands of the school, would function as wealth creators.

According to the Governor’s Aide, the school which is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as libraries, technical workshops, laboratories as well as standard internal roads, would open up the socio-economic life of Omadino, Obodo and neighbouring communities.

Whilst commending Governor Oborevwori for completing and commissioning the project, Comr. Ikpere, who is an indigene of Omadino, recalled how Governor Oborevwori on Tuesday September 3, 2024, summoned the seven contractors that handled the Omadino Technical College Project, after inspecting the extent of work done.

During the inspection, the governor, explained that the scheduled meeting with the contractors, was to enable his administration identify the challenges faced by the companies handling the project, with a view to fast-track the execution, noting that the school project was very dear to Itsekiri people.
