An indigene of Ungwan Gimbiya Sabon Tasha in Kaduna State, Lebari Gideon Naasi, has revealed that the gruesome murder of his parents, Pastor and Mrs. Naasi Sunday, by marauding Fulani jihadists, makes him scared of returning to Nigeria.
Naasi, who spoke to Fresh Angle International, Thursday March 26, in an exclusive telephone chat from his base in Republic of Ireland, said his father, Pastor Naasi Sunday, who was pastoring Christ Army Church, Ungwan Gimbiya Sabon Tasha in Kaduna State and his mother, Mrs. Naasi Sunday, were among nine Christians killed when the Fulani terrorists invaded the community at about 4.30am on September 9, 2025.
According to him, his late father, Pastor Sunday, was always preaching against the killing of Christians in the Northern part of Nigeria.
Whilst declining to reveal how he, other members of the family and indigenes of the community managed to escape the wee-hours invasion, Naasi, recounted: “The Fulani herdsmen, invaded the Christian community and killed nine Christians, including my parents, Pastor and Mrs. Naasi Sunday.
“They were killed, because they were among the local pastors preaching against the killings, kidnapping and destroying of properties by the Fulani herdsmen, targeting Christians alone.”
