The Akulagba of Warri and APC Stalwart, Chief Ayirimi Emami has admonished people of Okere Community in Warri metropolis not to vote candidates that will kill the over 500 years old Awankere Festival, otherwise called Okere Juju, but vote massively for the APC candidate in the April 26 Warri South Constituency 1 Bye-Election, Prince Stanley O. Emiko, saying “PDP members in Warri South are masquerading as Accord Party and Accord Party is not holding any government position”.

Chief Emami who bares the fang at Okere Community Town Hall Saturday April 22 when members of the APC took the Stanley Emiko campaign tour to the ancient Warri Community, opined that since the death of Nigeria's first Finance Minister, late Festus Okotie -Eboh, Itsekiri Nation hasn't held any strategic position at the federal level due to local politicking.

He asserted that victory for Prince Stanley Emiko in the bye-election will strengthen the resolve for Itsekiri Nation to realign itself with the APC led federal government and rewrites the perceived neglect /marginalization.
