Feelers reaching Fresh Angle International say both sensitive and non sensitive materials for the Warri South Constituency 1 Bye-Election slated for Wednesday April 26 on Monday April 24 reached INEC Office, Asaba.
Representatives of All Progressives Congress, APC, Accord Party and Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP are said to be monitoring the materials, even as it was alleged that Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Zanna Ibrahim was said to have demanded that Ward 1 (Ode-Itsekiri/Orugbo) materials be handed over to him.
While indications are rife that the materials may arrive Warri Tuesday April 25, members of the All Progressives Congress took their expansive campaign train to Otovwodo Agbarha Warri and Bowen on Monday April 24, while members of the Ahmed Markafi led PDP cum Accord Party were holding clandestine meetings at a Warri Hotel, doing last minute 'mobilization' in what is very likely to be the most hotly contested legislative election in recent times as far as Warri is concern.
Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has been in Warri since Saturday April 22 and it is speculated that he will remain in the Oil City until the poll is concluded, even as the main opposition APC are expecting some of its prominent members outside Delta State so as to be able to match the might of Dr. Okowa and his followers.
