An eight-member National Personnel Audit Committee, NPA saddled with the responsibility of collating data in order to assist government in carrying out planning, research and developmental programmes in both public and privately owned basic schools in Warri South Local Government Area have been inaugurated, Fresh Angle International can report.
The NPA Committee has the Executive Secretary of Local Education Authority, LEA for Warri South Local Government, Hon. Wilson Eyimofe Omor as Chairman, while the Head of Planning, Research and Statistics department, LEA Warri South, Dr. Ovie Ikewenu will serve as Secretary.

Others are: the Head of Personnel Management, Warri South LEA, Mr. Godwin Aganuzor, the Chief Inspector of Education in Warri South, the Director of Post Primary Education Board, Warri, HOD, Quality Assurance, Warri South LEA, Chairman of Association of Primary School Heads of Nigeria, APSHON and the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT Warri South Local Government Area Chapter, Comrade Ishmael Ikuejawa.
Performing the inauguration Tuesday May 9, the Warri South LEA Executive Secretary, Hon. Wilson Omor, explained that apart from establishing a basic education data base of primary one to primary six pupils and junior secondary school one to three students in the area, in-line with the 2004 Education Act by the National Assembly, members of the committee are expected to be proactive in the carrying out their assignment.
Hon. Omor who also doubles as Chairman of the NPA Committee, stressed that the committee’s task include the collation of accurate statistics of public and private schools in Warri South Local Government Area as well as ensure that parents make their children and wards available during field inspection.
He noted that principals and head teachers are expected to provide school records of pupils’ enrolment, attendance, information on teaching/non teaching staff as well as adequate data on infrastructural state of their schools to members of the committee.
According to the Warri South LEA Boss, strategic stakeholders in the NPA Committee include National Assembly Committees on Basic Education, the Federal Ministry of Education, Federal Ministry of Finance, National Bureau of Statistics, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, TRCN, Local Government Education Authorities, Nigeria Union of Teachers and the Association of Primary School Teachers of Nigeria.
