The Ugborodo Graduates' Association, UGA, says the electoral process that brought the Barr. Austin Oborogbeyi led Governing Council of Ugborodo Community Trust, "was the divine hands of God to establish sustainable peace in Ugborodo".

President of UGA, Engr. Eyito Ololo, who made the declaration on behalf of the association in a statement made exclusively to Fresh Angle International, Monday August 12, thanked the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli, Chiefs of Warri Kingdom, the Eghare-Aja and Elders of Ugborodo as well as youths and other indigenes of the community for the, "wisdom displayed in ensuring the peaceful emergence of the community trust".

While urging the Oborogbeyi leadership to positively impact on the lives of Ugborodo people in terms of overall development, Ololo stressed that UGA was in full support of the new Governing Council of Ugborodo Community Trust.

He appealed to the "new trust, to liaise with UGA to implement the Ugborodo Rural Education Programme, UREP, aimed at developing the standard of education in our community".

The UGA President added, "for more than 10 years now, Chevron has not employed any Ugborodo graduate as staff, whereas in places like Eket and Bonny, indigenes are given yearly employment as staff of ExxonMobil and NLNG. The multinational oil and gas companies, make meaningful development that have transformed their host communities to modem settlements, but the reverse is the case in Ugborodo Community".
