The Chairman of Egbokodo Youth Development Association, Amanoritsewor Philip, says the community is awaiting the outcome of police investigation, after an armed robbery suspect, Emmanuel Solomon, was handed over to the Police at ‘A’ Division, Warri.
According to Amanoritsewor Philip, on the 9th of March 2026, the said Emmanuel Solomon, reportedly came from Effurun/Ekpan axis in Uvwie Local Government Area, alongside his fleeing accomplice, to rob a family in the New Layout area of Egbokodo community.
Due to vigilance of head of the family the suspects came to rob and the immediate mobilization by residents of Egbokodo, Emmanuel Solomon, was apprehended during the robbery operation.
The youth chairman, told Fresh Angle International Friday March 27 that the suspect, Emmanuel Solomon, was apprehended with cut-to-size gun and one double barrel, while his accomplice(s) escaped.

He was immediately handed over to the Police at ‘A’ Division, Warri, for further investigation and prosecution.
Whilst calling on parents and guardians to properly advise their children and wards, to desist from all forms of criminal activities, such as armed robbery, assassination and related offenses, Amanoritsewor Philip, declared that the Executive and Members of the Egbokodo Youth Development Association, maintain zero-tolerance against crime.
“Anyone found engaging in criminal activities within our community, will be apprehended and handed over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution in accordance with the law”, he emphasized.
