Voting has commenced in major polling units across the 21 Local Government Area of Kogi State.
It was gathered that there was earlier arrival of election materials in some polling while some are yet to commence accreditation and voting.
When Our Kogi State Correspondent visited 500 unit open space, accreditation and voting had commenced as at 9am while in Ganaja, which happens to be the biggest polling units in Ajaokuta Local Government, electorate were spotted searching for their names in Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) registered list.
In Lokoja almost all polling units are having the presence of electoral and security officials, with prospective voters checking out their names.
In Ankpa, Idah, Omala and Ofu, report also indicates early arrival of materials.
Similarly, Kabba Bunu, Mopamuro, Yagba East and Yagba West Local Government Area also witnessed early arrival of election material and had since commenced accreditation and voting.
As at time of filing this report, it was gathered that report from across the State indicate the various areas are peaceful, with all the political actors hoping it will be sustained.
