Lord of Warri on X, has accused the General Manager of EGP, Engr. Andrew Omomoehin of delaying the release of employment/conversion letters to Itsekiri/Ilaje indigenes, who are long-time graduates of VTP 5/6 and OTP 2 training programme.

Fresh Angle International, understands that when released, the employment letters would make the affected Itsekiri/Ilaje indigenes staff of Chevron Nigeria Limited, CNL.

In a post few minutes ago, Lord of Warri, declared on X: “It was a thing of joy when the news that Chevron had agreed to release the letters of employment to VTP 5/6 and OTP 2 whom have been deprived of direct employment for more than 12 years after training at Ogere by this month of February, 2025.

“Information reaching us is that Engr. Andrew Omomoehin, the General manager of EGP who happens to be an Ilaje man had allegedly becoming the person delaying the release of employment letters to seal the conversion of the Itsekiri/Ilaje indigenes of the host communities to Chevron Nigeria limited under VTP 5/6 and OTP 2  training.

“Engr. Andrew Omomoehin reportedly went to the new JV director CNL/ NNPC, Engr. Segun Kuteyi and told him that the Ogere trained personnels should be put under contract. That the new JV director CNL/ NNPC is going to save more that $6 million dollars per month if this is done.

“This has been the trend, using the host communities direct employment to negotiate for their promotions and thereby depriving them the rights of direct employment for over 12 years now.

“The Ilaje people whom are also affected by these evil acts should call thier son Engr. Andrew Omomoehin to order as this act of his will be resisted at all cost.

“It could be recalled that late Engr. Monday Ovuede, an Urhobo/Itsekiri man was the one that deprived the direct employment of this same class of indigene (VTP 5/6 and OTP 2) from direct employment till date using same reason currently being employed by Engr. Andrew Omomoehin.

“The Itsekiri people will no longer sit down and allow the indigene of host communities whom are top management staff to use our people to gain wicked promotions.

“We use this opportunity to call on all relevant stakeholders to intervene on this issue before it gets out of hand.”
