INYC counters UPU, says Ajagbodudun, Obitugbo under the overlordship of the Olu of Warri
Comr. Augustine Dorsu

The leadership of Itsekiri National Youth Council, Warri North Chapter, has countered the Urhobo Progress Union youth wing of Oghara kingdom, over the true ownership of Ajagbodudun and Obitugbo land, saying Ajagbodudun and Obitugbo Community, are in Warri North Local Government Area, under the overlordship of The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III.

Chairman of Itsekiri National Youth Council, Warri North Chapter, Comr. Augustine Dorsu, who made the declaration in an electronic statement made available to Fresh Angle International, Wednesday April 15, said the Jackson line and boundaries, is between Ajagbodudun Community and Oghara Community.

According to Dorsu, the court judgment with suit no: W/22/1941 between Otubu of Waregi vs Akonu Edematie & Ors of Ajagbodudun Community, was in favour of the Ajagbodudun community.

Whilst calling on the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and other relevant authorities to take critical look at the court judgement, the Warri North Itsekiri youth leader, described the claim of Oghara youth wing of UPU, regarding Obitugbo and Ajagbodudun land, as misleading and deliberate destruction of verifiable historical as well as judicial facts.

“We remain committed to peace and lawful engagement. However, we will continue to defend through legitimate means, the inalienable rights of our people to God-given ancestral lands”, Dorsu vowed.
