Delta based Igbo political pressure group, Ndigbo Political Forum, NPF has commenced action for the re-election bid of Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa with the setting up of Local Government Coordinators across the State, Fresh Angle International can report.

This much was disclosed Tuesday April 25 at the Governor’s Office Annexe in Warri during the forum’s monthly meeting.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the Local Government Coordinators will be saddled with the responsibility of mobilizing the grassroots so as to ensure that all Igbos eligible to vote are brought under one umbrella for Dr. Okowa’s re-election ahead the 2019 polls.

The Convener/Chairman of NPF, Ichie Peter Ezejelue appealed to members of the group to work with Special Assistant to Governor Okowa on Non-Indigenes’ Affairs, Nze Francis Onuora in order to get more empowerment and appointments in Okowa administration as well as ensure the governor’s re-election.

Dr. Okowa’s Aide, Nze Onuora admonished Igbos across the three Senatorial Districts in the State that are not registered to take advantage of INEC registration exercise scheduled to commence Thursday April 27 throughout the country.

He commended Dr. Okowa for appointing another Igbo indigene, Chief Ukeje as Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters.

The educationist cum politician who gave the plaudit in a chat with Newsmen in Warri, averred, “even the opposition can attests to the enviable performance of Dr. Okowa as Chief Executive of Delta State in just two years”.

According to her, Dr. Okowa’s performance through the successful implementation of his SMART agenda “has met expectations so far”.

She commended the Delta South PDP Chairman, Chief Emmanuel Amgbaduba for making “PDP more formidable in the State”, noting that the party “could not have gotten a better Chairman at this time”.

“Chief Amgbaduba is humble, resourceful and his organization of regular meetings of party members has helped to strengthen party unity,” she added.
