The New Commander, 61 Nigeria Airforce, NAF Detachment, Air Commodore Sani Zakari have promised that Officers and Men of the NAF Detachment will continue to support the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli in making sure his peace building efforts in Warri area is sustained.
The 61 NAF Detachment Commander, Commodore Sani Zakari gave the assurance in Warri Thursday April 21 during a courtesy visit to the Olu of Warri at his Palace.
Commodore Zakari who was accompanied by the immediate past Transition Committee Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Dr. Austin Uroye and some key Officers of the Airforce Command in the area, explained that he came to pay homage to the Olu of Warri and assured the Monarch that he will sustain the age-long relationship between the Airforce and Itsekiri people of Delta State.

Our Senior Correspondent reports that the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli told Officers and Men of the 61 NAF Detachment to take the Olu Palace as their home, just as he stressed that the Itsekiri people are peace loving and his reign is poised to build bridges across all ethnic divides.
Others who accompanied Commodore Zakari include Wing Commander MOD Ede, Matron Medical Centre, Flying Officer E I Bayem (PRO) Warrant Officer Okonkwo P, Intelligent Supervisor, Fight Sergeant Okiemo Sunday (RSM) and Air Craftman Aliyu.
