Yuletide: CEPEJ cautions against fire outbreak

As Nigerians prepare for the end of year festivities the National Coordinator of Center for Peace and Environment Justice, CEPEJ, Comrade Sheriff Mulade has advised Deltans and other Nigerians to be cautious in handling all forms of fire, particularly during the Harmattan period to avoid fire outbreaks that can easily spread and destroy lives and property.

Comrade Mulade who addressed newsmen at Africa for Peace Centre in Warri, noted that fire outbreaks in Nigeria have become a source of concern to the government and citizens, adding that Deltans and other Nigerians need to be environmentally, financially and security conscious during the Yuletide period to avoid disasters.

He further explained that every season comes with its own challenges and therefore called for the collective responsibility of every one to adapt to the changes in weather and promote safety during the Harmattan season.

He charged government at all levels to sensitize the citizens on proactive steps towards curbing and reducing the menace and urged individuals to be extra careful in their various homes, offices and markets.
