Agadagba of Olodiama : Governor Obaseki’s act is shameful - Gbaramatu Monarch

The Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State, Oboro-Gbaraun 2 Aketekpe has described the response of Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki over the purported installation of Agadagba of Olodiama by Olodiama people in Ovia South-West and Ovia North East Local Government Areas in Edo State as ‘’shameful’’.

The Gbaramatu Monarch who made the declaration Saturday December 9 in Warri in a chat with select-newsmen on arrival from ‘’holy pilgrimage to the Agadagba-Bou (the holy land) of the Ijaw Nation at Egbedani Community in Sabageria Town, Kolokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area, Bayelsa State,’’ accused the ‘’forefather of Governor Obaseki of betraying late Oba Ovonramwen of Benin’’.

Pere Oboro-Gbaraun 2 Aketekpe, while speaking through the spokesman of Gbaramatu Traditional Council, Chief Godspower T.D.A Gbenekama explained that ‘’the holy pilgrimage’’ was for fortification and strength with a view to garner ‘’abundant wisdom and knowledge in piloting the affairs of his subjects’’.

While assuring of his readiness to continually foster peace within his domain and Gbaramatu neighbours, the Ijaw Monarch restated his commitment to tackle crude oil theft, illegal bunkering, sea piracy and other forms of criminality in the Niger Delta.
